We wouldn't have built this entire website otherwise. DTD is a compact hobby product for grown-ups who want a quick, hands-on break from screens, work and everything else demanding attention.

At first? Yes. That's the point. The gyro helps stabilize the car, but throttle, steering and timing are still yours. You'll probably be terrible for a few minutes. Then slightly less terrible. Drift Academy is included to help with the rest.

Pretty much anywhere smooth enough. DTD is made for indoor drifting on smooth, flat surfaces: tables, floors, countertops, desks and wherever else you suddenly decide deserves a clipping point. Please use common sense around stairs, liquids and expensive objects.

Almost. Your DTD comes with the car, controller and the essentials needed to start drifting. The controller requires 2 × 1.5V AA batteries, purchased separately. Charge the car, add the batteries, find a smooth surface and start making questionable corner-entry decisions.

DTD is a 1:43 scale drift car, roughly 12 cm long. Small enough to take almost anywhere. Big enough to turn completely normal surfaces into racetracks.

For the controller, yes. You'll need 2 × 1.5V AA batteries, purchased separately. We provide the drifting. Your local battery aisle handles the rest.

DTD uses proportional steering and throttle. That means your inputs aren't limited to simple left, right, go and stop. You control how much steering and throttle you apply, which is where the actual drifting skill comes in.

A simple progression included with every DTD that takes you from donuts and figure eights to transitions and better car control. Complete it and you may consider yourself DTD Licensed. No government agrees with us.
